Minnesota participates in the Drug Monitoring Initiative (DMI) to help public health practitioners, researchers, policy makers and the public better understand the trends, patterns and threat of illicit drug use so that all can make informed decisions about resources, prevention and enforcement efforts.
DMI is funded by a U.S. Department of Justice Programs Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Site-based Program Grant.
Publication of summary data contained in the Drug Crimes and Overdose Dashboard is required by the grant.
